“Oresharski” government wrote an emergency measures for North-West Bulgaria reviving. A Strategy for “execution of integrated territorial investments in North-West region 2014-2020” have been published for a public discussion.
This country region holds the leadership for the poorest place in EU. The strategy gives the economy development directions. For the first time except Vratsa, Vidin and Montana, government includes cities as Pleven and Lovech. However, in the document were not indicated concrete financial recourses and estimates.
The strategy says that the government will support the companies to be more competitive. It gives directions and the line of business each city to develop -for example for Vratsa city, the textile is priority.
According the plan a branch of Stuttgart university will be opened in Vidin. There is and a pilot project which foresees the creation of “municipal agricultural cooperative”. In Pleven will be built highly-technology oncology centre and toward the centre will be sport and recovery complex. The government intends to support “green energy” factory construction from biogas in Moesia.
The unemployment is the highest-16.4%, toward to the average for the country of 10.4%. There is also have to be considered the fact that in this part of Bulgaria most of the children early falls away from school-3500 students doesn’t finish every year, which is 11.4% from all.
