A great Torlak evening would be held on November 23, when the Torlak society “Ždrebče ” will welcome a delegation from “Timočana – Torlaka” from the village of Miničevo, Serbia. The meeting will be a celebration of the 45th anniversary from the brotherhood of Belogradchik and Knjaževac municipalities.
For nine years already, the two clubs are in close cooperation and organize joint events and initiatives. Among the honorary guests will be the chairman of the club Dejan Krstovic, Krunislav Jovanovic – mayor of Novo korito village, Nebojsa Симеонович – deputy-director of the High School of Management in Zajecar, Vladan Radovanovic of the Timos club – Knjaževac and coordinator of the Cross-border cooperation, as well as business representatives and other members of the club. From the Bulgarian side, apart from the members and the fans of the Torlak club “Ždrebče”, the deputy mayor of Belogradchik municipality Anton Trifonov, some of the sponsors of the club and Torlaks from Chuprene and Chiprovtsi municipalities will be attending. The heads of the municipal councils and the mayors of the two municipalities are also expected to attend.
The guests will be welcomed in 11 a.m. on 23 Nov in Salash which is one of the biggest villages on the territory of the municipality. They will visit the local church “Assumption of Virgin Mary” and “Kadi Boaz” passage where a cross-border point should be built to connect the two countries.
During their stay, the guests will visit the natural landscape of Belogradchik, and in the evening, there would be organized a great Torlak evening in the restaurant “Mislen kamak”.
