The growing interest in this beautiful cave, both in the country and abroad, urged two municipalities, Belogradchik and Dimovo, to turn it into a tourist destination. People in Belogradchik think that the cave will be an interesting part of the tourist route to the Belogradchik Rocks, the Kaleto Fortress and Magura Cave. The municipality of Dimovo, on whose territory the village of Oreshets is located also wants to show the cave to tourists. Dimovo municipality has an approved project for a road leading to the cave’s entrance.
The distance to the village is only 4 km. The underground gallery, 128 m long, will have lighting installed and paths made to the most interesting places to be seen. The project also includes cave guides training. If the project is to be implemented, Kozarnika cave may become an international touristic sight.
